G God bless the preacher, god bless the bends C God bless the one who has to die in the end G God bless you and all the things you might be C D G God bless the wind and the deep roaring sea G I sent me with the willows across the roaring deep C Sent me to where breakers will rock me to my sleep G I'll find you someday, though I don't know your face C D G You live amongst the lizards in that dry, holy place God bless the children they know what they did God bless you simon and your brand new little kid God bless the stones and the roots of the trees God bless the winds and the deep roaring sea There is a rest that is solemn and long It someday will be broken by the trumpets loud song But God willing I won't hear it, but slumbering remain To keep unbroken silence in that soft summer rain God bless the ones who have never read the book God bless the ones who count themselves forsook And God bless the nothing that follows our unease God bless the wind and the deep roaring sea God bless You, god bless Me God bless the living who have yet to come to be God bless the millions who dreamless lie in peace God bless the wind and the deep roaring seas
Our Very First foray into writing religious songs! Not much meaning in this one, except pondering death and the resurrection and whether or not we even WANTED to be part of the church. Simon is a made up person, and for the record we are now on the fence whether or not we'd want to sleep through the resurrection. Might be fun to see that big guy with the seven white orbs and the sword in his mouth!
